The Nursing Home Complaint Guide
About the FirmTraction Law Group

Traction Law Group

A plaintiff-side personal injury firm focused on holding negligent nursing homes accountable.

Most personal injury firms handle nursing home cases occasionally, as one practice area among many. Traction Law Group has built its nursing home practice around the unique demands of these cases: medical records, staffing data, federal and state regulations, and the human reality of how families experience harm in long-term care.

Traction Law Group lawyers are licensed in Florida and New York. Outside those jurisdictions, the firm coordinates with affiliated local counsel.

What we focus on

Nursing home abuse and neglect cases are not ordinary personal injury matters. They sit at the intersection of federal nursing-home regulations (42 CFR Part 483), state survey and licensure law, Medicare and Medicaid certification rules, and the medical standard of care for a frail, often nonverbal patient population. Building a case requires reading staffing reports, MDS assessments, CMS Form 2567 deficiency citations, and complete clinical records — and understanding what is missing as much as what is documented.

Our practice is built to do that work. We focus the firm’s litigation, intake, and investigative resources on nursing home, assisted living, and long-term-care cases so that families do not have to teach their lawyer the system on their own time.

We accept cases nationwide. In jurisdictions outside Florida and New York we co-counsel with experienced local plaintiff attorneys; the relationship is disclosed to clients in writing before any fee agreement is signed.
